I am in talks with BMW UK & we have provisionally booked the Weekend 20/21st MAY 2006 for the Big International celebration of 40 Years of the 02, 30 Years of the 6-Series & 20 Years of the M3 E30. This event will be held at Brands Hatch on this weekend when it's also the WTCC round. We hope to have the BMW drivers on the stand, Autographs, Trade Stands, discounted tickets, Cavalcade laps for hopefully all the above, camping should be avaiable & plenty of fun. It's early days but book it in your diary's. We welcome ALL BMW's no matter the age, cc, & colour ;o)
Rich.

It is a massive celebration of 3 important BMW’s; 20 Years of the M3 E30, 30 years of the 6-Series & 40 Years of the ’02, & is the only appearance of the FIA World Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch;

You can watch Andy Priaulx take on the World's best on the spectacular Grand Prix circuit on 19/20/21 May.

BMW Car Club (GB) Ltd Members can get FREE Tickets for the Sunday worth £25 each (2 per car), first come, first served (limited to 500). BMW Car Club (GB) Ltd Area for thousands of Club Members.

Nigel Mansell will now be appearing, & expected to be behind the wheel of a flame-splitting BMW M3 GTR, just like the one Andy Priaulx drove in last years victory at the 24 Hour Nurburgring race, where he obtained a 1-2 finish for BMW.

Also races including Formula 3000, Historic Touring Cars, Formula Palmer, Audi & Formula BMW UK.

Friday is mainly practice day, Saturday more practicing & qualifying, & Sunday is racing, pit walk-about & more.

Not only will you now get 2 passes per car (Car Club members only) BMW UK Ltd has now negotiated us FREE Grandstand Tickets for the Sunday as well.

There is a £2 pp charge on the day to pay for the extra Marshall’s – Brands Hatch, not us. But as I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a great offer.

Latest News: Entry to the show - follow the "Triangles" on the Sign Posts, we will also put up "BMW" signs to show you where to enter. Space will be reserved for the 3 featured marques, but the rest will be on a "first come, first served basis". We have the whole of the South Bank area.

Would have gone myself but it's my best friends birthday that weekend

How are spaces being reserved?

Is it just turn up in one of the three models on the day?

Only asking as I can only attend on the Sunday and would like to know if there will be enough space for me and my baby!!

Hi, We have room now for 500 Cars. I don't see it being a problem. We will have space reserved for the 3 featured marques, & then it's 1st come first served. So don't leave it late - especially Sunday. Follow the Triangles & BMW Signs that will be out - do not use the main entrance. See you all there for what promises to be a huge weekend. Now to pray for the weather. Richard.

Glad you didn't mention the Hotel I'm staying in!  Very fussy who I share with!

OK - I'll be there - marshalling in the Pits/Startline area, but I'll try and get the M3 on south-bank (probably means I'll have to nip across the track to get to my post, but hey!!)

(p.s. don't bother PMing me for the hotel name - they're full - there's a wedding on! )

Cats know your every thought.

But don't care.

We have half the South Bank with parking for up to 500 cars (I doubt we’ll fill that each day). Our own Marshals will direct the cars where to park on the South Bank; the 3 feature marques on the lower area with all other models up the top of the area, Brands Hatch will be marshalling everything else.

For access you need to follow the triangles for the entrance which is approx 150 yards passed the main entrance heading towards West Wickham. Turn left in to the access road, on the Right is a public car park where trailers can be left (at owner’s risk), they are not allowed across the bridge gaining access to the South Bank. Follow the fenced road round to the South Bank.

The bridge must be kept clear for emergency services. There is also disabled access, should anyone need it.

I do have a few “non-members” coming & important cars from abroad – Our Marshals will let these people into the South Bank.

The event has been advertised on National television & should be fantastic. Bring your wellies by account of the weather forecast.

I look forward to seeing you all on the weekend.

Richard.

Shame about the rain!

Apologies for not joining you on South Bank on Sunday, but I had to work - in the pits & startline.

Shame about the rain.....

Oh! I've already said that.

well it was! Racing was good tho - except for Andy P's cold front tyres!
