Parts for 1973 M30 engine

   Hello all.

I've just bought a 1973 E3 3.0si and it's having a good thorough service done on it currently.

However my mechanic is having difficulty sourcing parts for the car. 
Apparently it's not listed in most companies catalogues as it's too old!

Can any one recommend a good knowledgeable source of engine parts for
old BMWs who may be of some help in this matter.  I beleive the engine
was used in later models after this one so parts shouldn't be too hard
to find surely?
