Need Garage!!!

Hi

I live in Saffron Walden between Cambridge and Stansted, now can anyone please recommend a garage as of the two I have been using I find both to be bad, Elms of Cambridge are ok but don't inspire confidence in there work but Sewell's of Bishops Stortford are quite simply the worst garage I have ever used, on the last three occasions I have used them the car has left with more problems than when I took it, this time they did some work on the steering and I had to take it back because it wouldn't self centre after I picked it back up of them but now they want me to pay £860 for a new steering rack to fix whatever it is they screwed up.

basically what I am after is a good independent garage who's business is based on reputation and recommendations, if such a place exists!

I would really appreciate any suggestions people can offer.
