anybody sold a reg on a V778? help!

   I've sold a reg on a V778 retention document, and in typical DVLA style it doesn't seem straightforward, and there is no help available on the website!!
Has anyone here done this?
On the form I can put in the new owner details as a 'nominee' but name only - no address.
I will still be the 'grantee', which doesn't sound very attractive to me!
Is it the case that the buyer will have to transfer this straight onto a vehicle? If so, would I have to sign the box for assigning to a vehicle??
RRRRRRRR!!! Stupid government departments!!!
