it's tuesday 11.55 pm and i have just landed from my WEEKEND trip to the Ring!
was 1 hour late saturday morning already and to top it they canceled the sunday return flight because of bad weather.

Had my first trip to the ring this weekend as well, not with my car, but now I know why everyone goes on about the place. What a fantastic circuit, even in a mates diesel A4!

I also flew Ryanair, and even when its all on time, what a zoo

How can you cancel one flight because of bad weather over Hahn and all the others do take off? Make you own thoughts.....

They plane never arrived from Stanstead in the first place. you can't blame anyone for bad weather, but the whole thing was handled VEERY bad. One tiny mumbling announcement, ONE person at the ticket counter. That was the longest queue a have seen in my life!

Monday was already fully booked and the lunchtime flight back on Tuesday was more than £200. So I decided to take the late flight for EUR39. And even after that was delayed for more than 1 hour Ryanair didn't think it is neccessary to let the passengers know about....

but they don't fly to Hahn

I am flying with Ryanair for 7 years and it was never as bad as it is now. The last 3 flights I had, ALL delayed.

I flew out of Hahn on Sunday afternoon on the Ryanair flight to Göteborg, pretty much on time. A bit of fog, but not bad enough to cancel. I am afraid Ryanair is all about the their profit, they sell the tickets cheap (mainly) but if anything goes wrong its all down to the passenger to sort themselves out.

you waste your money for laps, I for food and beer
And I don't think it's much fun driving round the Ring with winter temperatures.

didn't hire a car, and if I would never go round the Ring with it. No insurance pays for this. Read the small print......

Uwe

I can recommend German wings as a good airline they fly to Koln which is quite easy to the Ring.

Agree about the rental cars, it's not just what you do that matters, it's about the other idiots.

Cheers

Rynair are Sh1t ... went barcelona a few weeks ago. When leaving from the UK they let you off any excess Bagage weight, but when coming back they charge you for it!!!!! very crafty, but explains why they sell their tickets so cheap!
