About 10 years ago yellow Konis (sport suspension for road use) were fitted to my M3 and I am now trying to find out how good (or bad) these are compared to others. Back then they were a special set for the German market and not available in The Netherlands.
Koni Fahrwerk Kit 8220-1081-D
Vorderachse Koni-Teile-Nr 86T-2277 Sport SP20 (dampers on the front)
Hinterachse Koni-Teile-Nr 80J-2522 SP1 (dampers on the back)
Feder 2220-1048 (green springs front) 2220-1049 (green springs back)
They lower the car by 30 mm (the owner who had them fitted told me 10 mm, but the papers that come with it state 30 mm) and the allowed front axle load is 840 kg and the allowed rear axle load is 905. Can this be converted into Nm? (that's what the guy from Koni Holland said, but he himself didn't know how)
I already found out that the green springs are not from Koni, even though it has Koni stamped on them and they are mentioned in the official German Koni papers that came with them. Apparently, Koni Germany got the springs from a different manufacturer and just stamped Koni on them as they worked with their suspension.
I hope some of you can help.
