Hi

Just a quick question for you all:

Do the BMW Car Club do a trackday at thruxton?

or

Does anyone else know anyone who does?

The circuit looks quite good, and all of those who follow the BTCC will know it's the fastest circuit they use!

Cheers,

James

There are very few track days available at Thruxton due to the local numpties complaining about noise.

You will be lucky to see two a year, most of their allowed days are used up for BTCC, BSB and the like as they can get more value for money out of those.

I received an email from one of the track day companies about a Thruxton event. The noise limits were silly, basically anything remotley interesting would fail............

Bl**dy hell!

I thought Brands was bad enough for the "I'm going to move next door to a race track, then moan 'cause they're louder than they are on the tele!"

I'm going to have to test mine with a decibel meter thingy, noise levels all over seem to be getting lower, mine has a Scorpion DTM on it!  I think Castle Coombe last year had 100 db limit, and Jags from Bexley's measured 97db!  He had Scorpion DTM on it too!
