300hp from a 3 litre is not hard.

I get 305hp+ from a remap and filter all day long.

The 3 litre is awesome.

Derek,
On the E34 M5 it is a small pump which recycles "dirty" air back thro the engine to keep the tree huggers happy. First time I heard it in mine I almost switch the engine off thinking something bad was about to happen. As you probably know a brief blip of the throttle makes it go away.
