i think i might have a dodgy fuel pump relay, tried to restart it a couple of days ago after a quick trip to halfords, all lights on the dash were on, turned it over but wouldn't catch on, thought i'd flooded it, took out the spark plugs, all were dry as a bone and no smell of petrol. Done a quick search and noticed some of you have had similar problems, so i'm going to start with the cheapest solution first, the fuel pump relay, trouble is i dont know which one it is, i've found all three relays which were behind the coolant expansion bottle, starting from the off side wing there's a black one with the number 1 311 772 on it, then there's a metal one with 0 332 014 135 then closest to the engine there's a blue one with 0 332 014 454 .
So if someone could tell me which one's are the fuel pump relay and DME relay and if these are the part numbers stamped on them because they seem to differ from the advice of previous posts i would be very grateful, by the way my car is a 1990 E30 M3 (215bhp).
