I have a 323 convertable, 1997 on a P reg. Its done 40k miles and since I bought it its had an annoying clunk from the base of the drivers seat when I take a sharp bend after taking a bend the other way. You can actually feel the clunk in the seat, as if something was loose inside, and was laying on one side until a bend throws it to the other side. My mate has the same model car also, and his does the same thing. Before i take my seat to bits, any ideas anyone?

big letters Andy????

As it's an e36, the front seats (drivers mainly) suffer from the runners getting slightly wider through use, take the seat off, and pinch the runners together slightly, this should sort the problem out. (you may be able to do it with the seat in situ, not 100% sure though). Hope this helps.

Ok, no more big letters I prommise, think ive got it sussed now. Thanks for the info on seat rails, I will look at that but it does sound and feel like something more than the seat moving laterally in the rails. But its something for me to eliminate, cheers. Andy
