My 91 325is has just developed a screaching noise when started up after being out in a downpour.  It doesn't last long about 10-20 seconds and then the car runs perfectly well.  I'm not sure whether it's the fanbelt or not, and being pretty useless when it comes to engine (self) maintenance, should I be worried?

Another question - I am getting small leaks in the boot and think the boot itself needs tightening as the seals seem to be in pretty good condition.  How do I go about it without makingit worse?

Sorry if these are trivial matters, but I want to keep her in tip-top shape and as I say I'm pretty useless.

Police arrested two kids yesterday, one was drinking battery acid, the
other was eating fireworks. They charged one and let the other one off.

Hello mate, sounds to me like your fan belt is slipping, that's probably because its loose-try tightning it up, like you im not very good mechanicaly!

My boot (325 cabrio) recently developed a leak, I was told to check the rear lamp seals, I replaced both lamps & seals and this seems to have cured it.
