Over the last 2 years I have attended a few cruises and a couple of Treasure Hunt drives. Last year I decided to plan a drive along the lines of a treasure hunt making the day out slightly differently to the normal drives undertaken by the members of ZRoadster.

This event has been opened up to ALL Makes and Models of cars.

One of the buildings at Singleton Open Air Museum

The format of this event is different because each car will be given a set of route instructions, and a set of questions to be answered enroute. In the interests of safety however you WILL need a navigator for this drive. Drivers briefing is at 10.00. From 10.15 cars will be started off at 2-3 minute intervals from the start point (Hickstead services on the A23) This is purely to separate the cars slightly, as the first part of the route goes through some small villages.
Before lunch the route is mainly on B and C roads, making an occasional trip onto an A road. Up to the lunch stop you can expect to see places such as, Amberley Chalk pits Museum, A Roman Villa Site, Goodwood House, Horse racing and Car Race Track. The Cars will all be back together at the lunch stop, which is "The Bosham" near Chichester. This is an "Out and Out" pub, menus and pricing can be seen here on thier web site. www.eatingoutandout.com
No special reservations have been made, just grab a table and order/pay for your food at the bar. Hopefully the weather will be good enough to make use of thier ample outdoor seating area.

One of the Mosaics at Fishbourne Roman Palace.

After lunch, the route takes in the village of Bosham, which hopefully if the tide is right we can drive round the shore line (the road is under water,in places, at high tide). Next its a trip to the site of a Roman Palace, and then through some narrow lanes to meet up with the A27 to return to the Goodwood racing track, via the Rolls Royce factory entrance. Then its onto a Roman Road before finally getting to the end point, via A and B roads, at around 5pm (Bolney Stage near the A23) Here you could have a drink/food while your completed question sheets are marked and the prizes awarded. The Run should end at about 6pm.

During the drive there are frequent comfort stops, both built into the route and taken as and when you decide.

Register interest below. Please PM the following information.
Board name (Eg TonyCal)
Real Names (Driver and Passenger)
Car Details (Make Model Reg number)
Contact number( mobile prefered)
Please confirm by the 1st May at the latest to give me time to get enough paperwork sorted.

Dont forget a pen/pencil on the day!!

Many Thanks to Steve, Barbara and Sarah for assisting with the route runs and questions. Not forgetting trying out the lunch stop several times.

Below is a link to the thread on Zroadster.net with a list of attendees which will be updated regularly.
