The moderator of that site has just bounced me for posting news of Croft'05 on there.
Apparantly he does not want commercial track day organisers using his new site as a cash cow for their business!

I've already posted up on the site regarding the Scottish Region track days, as it is not for profit but for club funds it is allowed. The moderator is really helpful. Did you read the posting FAQ at the top of the section(s) you were posting in?

It's a bit harsh to remove the link I think, he's trying to setup a site which promotes non profit events and all he asks is that you follow the rules on his site and drop him a PM before posting anything that may be deemed as FOR profit.

Go and PM the guy, he sounds very level headed, if it's NON profit I'm sure he'll allow it.

It's a BMW trackday website and can't advertised BMW CC trackday activities, bit harsh. Give him a second try Nick.

No, I didn't PM him first.. I just assumed I would be OK just posting ad hoc... after all, everyone in the BMW world has heard of Croft.. haven't they?

Anyway, I have put him in the picture, educated him a little on the finer points of organising a not for profit track event and persuaded him that he can trust me not to post anything of a commercial nature..

So I will soon have my own little pitch on there flogging Croft to anyone who will listen... cushty!
