its hard to splash out that sort of cash for tyres i also own a 525 se with the metric size tyres and have been using technic remolds for over a year they are rated to 140 mph and have no problems with them at all they wear well and at £50 each have got to be worth a try.

Best Bet by far is to replace with imperial rims! You'll get a good set with decent tyres for less than the cost of 2 tyres! You can keep the old 'uns for originality if you want it that way any time, I paid £200 for 4 cross spokes with average over 3/4 tread. Check e bay, as well as breakers etc. You'll be surprised how many ads you'll see for imaculate metric rims with bald tyres going for £40 a set, cos let's face it, even for a prestige car, £600 a set ain't reasonable, is it??

I have just bought a 520 Tourer and the tyre sizes are 230 55zr 390's  I have had a very quick search and the cheapest tyres I can find for this are about £150 each.... has anyone any ideas about these tyres or do I just have to save a bit longer!
