At least hooking up the vacuum guages and slowly opening the throttle you can see straight away of the throttles are out of sync. I borrowed my mates mercury guages (from motorbike days) - the pipes were a little bit loose on the throttle bodies, but some small cable ties did the trick. Very quick to check if the sync needs to be done.
