i am looking to purchase a M3 SMG on a 2001/2002 plate. can anyone give me any guidance of things/problems to look for?

i've just bought a e46 m3 smg 02 plate , as yet i've found no problem with the car or the smg , some cars need the software for the smg upgraded , not a problem just take it to your dealer and he will tell what version software your car has , and will update it , i would buy from a dealer , if your buying private make sure you get it checked out , and make sure it has a bmw warranty ,.
