Would it be considered bad form and frowned upon to fit some "M" badges to my (e34) 535 Sport.

Its got all the kit and I thought it would look rather smart with one on the boot and one on the grill

Wheres the best place to get them from, some of the ones on eBay seem a bit cheapo and nasty

Cheers

Personally I think the Sport would look better debadged! (apart from the roudels obviously) that way it's a case of is it or isn't it?

(Although the sport has smaller exhausts!!)

If you badge it as an M you'd expect it to drive like one!

However, I nearly bought a red 535i Sport which came from the factory badged as an M5 and also had it on the log book, had the M mouldings on the doors too!  The guys main selling points was that it was BMW recognised as an M car.  But he couldn't even get it started when i went to view it!

Yep, agree with the debadged look as well

I wouldnt badge it as an M5, just the M badge with the tri-colour's, I think they look very smart..

I do drive the car ala "M" styleeee.......!...and I think they handle and go well enough to warrant the "M" badge!?

///M badges (front and rear) are availble from your local BMW dealer...You can also buy ///M door sill protectors but they aren't cheap...

I agree that the debadged look keeps people guessing..

Or you can put one of these badges on and really confuse people :

Cheers Milers,

Personally I would see a five with no badge as a smaller engined model, certainly summat an M5 owner wouldnt do.......

As I would someone with the username e34M5!!

 Only joking mate!

Anyidea what kind of money the stealers want for the badges?

Did you fit the badge because you have some AC parts?..

I did have a E34 M5 when i registered....

There are quite a few M5 owners on the m5board who have debadged there cars

My sport came debadged from the dealer and yes i added the Schnitzer badge as i have a few Schnitzer parts...Very sad i know

The badges are around £35 for the pair from BMW.

unless you have a friendly BMW parts man, you need to own an M car or a sport that actually came with those parts, either that or use someone eleses registration and/or chassis no!!

If your car is a genuine sport you should be able to buy the badges from BMW...

I sold the M5 as it had over 200K Miles on it and i wanted to get rid of it before something major broke

A wise move me thinks Miles...

Sill protefctors look smart, some "M" ones would be perfect, but I dont know if I could be dealing with the agro of ripping the old ones off

Are they held on by some sort of stong double sided tape?
