Topic: E36 3.2 dyno plot Posted: 20-December-2004 at 10:12 |
I see there are plenty of E30 plots, but does anyone have their E36 3.2 plots?
I'm interested in seeing some...
Cheers

Of course you can't compare between RRs in general, although the Dyno
Dynamics RR when run in this mode is supposed to be relatively
consistent between different installations.
My measurements were in the ballpark for what the Surrey RR guys expect to see from an EVO.

Interesting. How much does a rolling road session cost, if you don't mine me asking?

That graph looks great. I've plotted the torque over my sick one (which actually still feels fairly strong up to 3500rpm) and it's enormously improved.
Should be trying out a new airflow meter later this week, I think it'll be like night and day when it's fixed.
Just in time for the ice and snow too :O

Surely thats about forty horsepower down on what an 3.2 Evo is supposed to have? I thought they had more like 320hp?
They make a nice smooth power and torque graph though!

The RR guys say they measure 280-290 typically for M3 EVOs on their
setup, which was all I wanted to check up on. I think the absolute
number (since it's a complete guess anyway) is not very useful - it's
the comparison that is most useful.

Dudes,
Yeah the EVO standard will run anywhere between 290 & 300hp
The 3.0L will pull about 270-285hp.....
I have seen lots of figures around that backs this up.
My 3.0L did 293hp at PE.... but I have a few mods.
