 A BIG Thankyou!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to Everyone who came to Gaydon, from North of the Border , West,  South & East. What a sight of immaculate cars, just shows how much care and attention you all give . Many of the cars not entered in a competition , could have won a Concours award------very Impressive.

Thankyou to the Traders, for the support and interest created.

The success of a festival like Gaydon, is down to you,  the enthuiasts.Did you enjoy your visit??, what can be Improved ??, what could be included for next year??.Constructive comments are welcome.Plans for 2005 started some time ago, help make it even more of a success.

A big thankyou to you Mr Safe, and everyone else involved in setting things up.

It was a smashing day, absolutely great to meet the scottish lads, even the ones with the skirts on !!

It would be nice to see more traders, but thats down to all of us to get people involved, we all need to harras these elusive traders to attend.

I was especially impressed with dent wizzard, the standard of their workmanship was superb.

I'm also having my wheels refurbed by a company that attended, their price was about the same as I'd been quoted by others, but I'll use the one that supported us on the day.

The only critism I have isnt with the club, or exhibitors, it was the disgusting standard of driving exhibited by a large number of absolute idiots attending this event.

I'm not saying this as a stuck up advanced driver, I'm saying it as a father of three.

There were families, some with babies in pushchairs, others with toddlers , they were trying to get to look at the 4 x 4 track, and karting track, and were showered with grit, and had to endure loonies screaming their cars past them on a very narrow stretch of road with a 15 mph speed limit.

This isnt what I'd expect from a family club, on a families event displaying the BMW badge.

Perhaps some marshalls next year, throwing these idiots out ?

Best Wishes

Nigel

What a great day this turned out to be after all the bad weather we had the rain held off. Much better than last year with some great trade stand. I was over the moon with joy when I won the Elite Concours with my E36 M3 Convertible specially as I use it every day and today it was out in the rain ;-( Gaydon was so packed this year I am wondering if we have out grown it???? that will be up to the club office to find out. I loved the show and big thanks to all involved on making this day such a success.

I thought it was a great day and the weather was a much, much better than expected!

The only thing that would have made it better (other than being right on my door step!) would have been some track action. Still being fairly new to the club i perhas don't appreciate how many track events are run, but something where you dont have to spend the whole day thrashing your car and could do maybe a couple of sessionson track then retire would be great. Sadly these things are very expensive to hire.

Would love to see more motrosport & classic BMW's but i can't see that being easily within the clubs control. Seeing a coupel of BTCC E30 M3's, the 02 registers cars & the historic register left me wanting more!

Looking forward to next year already

I had a great day there.  Cant really think of much to improve it other than what has already been mentioned.... maybe the chance to take a trip round a track.  Some fantastic cars there and it all seemed really well organised.  Trade stands were very good.

Many thanks to all who helped in the organising and all who brought their cars along for us to share.

There are quite a number of people who would like to see an Alpina section at next year's show.

Sorry pete... was just my own opinion of the show, didnt mean it to be offensive in any way.

An alpina section would be cool. Schnitzer aswell maybe?

The Alpina Section of the Club ,promises New life and activities in the Future , with an active " DOER " taking over. All good News , so No reason why an Alpina Section at 2005 meet isnt poss, ----- Only Lack of Support for the "DOER,s"

may I point out to all, that the original 'owner' of the Alpina section has only passed the responsibility over to a fellow knowledgeable enthusiast as he was unable to put the time and effort into it due to work commitments only. Otherwise there would have been a representative of the marque arranged at Gaydon.
Still it was good to see a smattering of Alpina cars in all the sections. Andy who has now taken over the mantle has my full support for future events.

May I point out that No one single person is the " Owner "of a section or register, being part of the BMW CC GB.

Craig offered to look after the interests of Alpina Owners and Alpina Enthusiasts.Being a very busy person, he would be the first to admit that he wished he had more time , to devote to the Alpina section and its members. We thank him for his support, now its time to move on.

Action as always, speaks louder than words, so good luck to Andy , and we await News of a meet or regular info.

I agree: I lingered over the green 2500 which was, I think, the only E3.

It was a great event, and I enjoyed the seminars (same again next year
please). But I'd love to have seen more cars from the 1970s.

How about a day-long rolling demonstration of expert car preparation?
You could have a series of members' cars, perhaps chosen by raffle or
by an online auction for club funds, brought up to concours standard in
front of an audience. I have no idea how to prepare a car and that's
something I'd really like to witness, properly explained.
