I wonder if they are going to upgrade the brakes on the E46 M3 cuz the last ones were shocking bad when you were braking at high speed (alot of noise but not alot of stopping)

As regards the new red M3........well i'm off to take out a mortgage.
I respect what your saying about the new style of BM's T.J., the majority will always buy the cars as long as they retain their drivability, rwd etc. but i think the styling of the new 3 is not as radical as the other new cars and is just a bit too like others in its class. I said it already but it has front bumper like new A6 and is not too far of a Saab in overall design. Not aggressive enough for me. Hope its better with two doors.
Tom i agree with you about the 1-series, it will take from the three and i think it will b a best seller.

All these new cars have too much of a lip on the arches, only a set of 19s is gonna fill them properly.......................ah i give up.

Indeed - was looking at a mkIV Golf today with 18 x 8.5" on it and they did justice to the arch flare and filled them right.. but then looked too high - sort that and you have no wheel travel.
I'm hoping that they are going to make the Coupes of the 1 & 3 (rumoured to be called 2 & 4 partially cos they can't have an M1) into agressive low-slung machines, and that the 1 / 2 series coupe will be a real successor to the E30 M3 in terms of size and philosphy.
they should have us as product planners!

Sorry to contradict and I might be wrong, but I read somewhere that although there was to be a 2 and 4 series, the idea was recently dropped....

They'll never replace the style of the machine, big flared arches and all that is a thing of the past unfortunatley. I think the new coupes might steer away from the saloon version and stand alone by design, a bit like CLK, SL and CL by Merc.
I hope they are low slung and agressive T.J.
As for wheels, anything over "18 is just stoopid IMO, you want big wheels then get a tractor
