Does the 530i SE come with a rechargeable glovebox torch? I have a '53' model purchased recently but the salesman said that Beemers don't come with torches anymore.

BTW, if getting one from ebay, make sure it fits your car (E39, E60 or whatever) as I originally bought mine for the E30 not realising it wouldn't fit it. It works fine in my E39 though.

How do I find out which model I have? I'm not familiar with the 'E' numbers. I have a '53' model 530i SE - which 'E' number is this?

Cheers,

Taz

The official thing with the torches is that they no longer come with the cars as part of the pdi kit, the same as exhaust tips, if you want them there an extra or the dealers gotta pay for it-came in about 12 months or so ago.

Before you waste your money on EBay find out how much they are from a dealer!
Lots of the E30 ones sold thru EBay were MORE money than you could pay at the stealer - especially with your discount!

I'm actually popping into the dealer tomorrow morning to order a bluetooth cradle. I'll ask about the torch. By the way, what discount are you referring to?

Cheers,

I was quoted £16 from a dealer for the torch, picked up one on Ebay for £4.99 inc postage.
