Topic: M3 on TV ? Posted: 30-July-2004 at 12:47 |
A friend says he saw a show on [he thinks C4] Wednesday night about E30 M3's, about a couple of guys going to Germany to buy one etc. I was out all Wednesday and missed it - I couldn't believe it when he told me! Did anyone see this program or know what channel it was on as I checked the TV Guide for wed (and the rest of the week) but there was no Motoring programs on C4??? Maybe it was on Men&Motors? Is anyone aware of this prgram?

Didn't see It, but it sounds like a repeat of a show on Men and Motors.
Two guys buy and sell cars (can't think of the name),they went to Germany and bought a red M3, brought it back to the U.K, got all the paperwork sorted and sold it on

I haven't seen it for a while but if it is the one I'm thinking of it is Mike Brewer and some chaps who's name escapes me....
I think the show is "Deals on Wheels" They were based under the railways arches or in a London Mews Garage.

The show with the M3 was in new premises, but it was Kevin Bird with Brewer when they looked at the car in germany. I was told that there was something odd about it not beingthe same car?
the guy that bought the car with 80k miles paid £12k for it and Brewer paid £10k
I saw another program the otherday, think it was a home improvement on normal tv and spotted an E30 M3 in black and looked like an sport evo. It was in the shot for just a couple of seconds.

That chap is Gavin Lowe and he was filming for a show about Better Driving Days/Track Days.
I have kept my eyes open for when it is being aired but haven't seem anything just.

Will do Chris, if it every does get aired we are pretty sure a lot of us who were there will be in the background.
Just had a thought... ...that could be why it hasn't aired
Dale is that you because if it is you have a twin in Gavin Lowe.

I know this is really sad but my car can be seen at the beginning of Scrap Heap Challenge. Next time it will be seen is in the final, whiching is being shown in a couple of weeks.

The other chap is Richard Sutton. Obviously he has moved on to better things.....They seem to have a location that looks like a disused petrol station with loads of chequered flags. That was before they finished up in what looked like more custom premises.

I'm pretty sure this is the series which had the E30 M3 as it is parked on their forecourt for the opening /closing shots.
