does anyone know of a good place (or infact any place) to get hold of a front drivers side wing?

the cheapest ive seen so far is 380 quid, i was hoping there might be some sort of un-tapped resource of 6er parts somewhere?

-I've been offered fibreglass (@ 1/4 the cost) but have declined on principle. Didn't actually get as far as looking at them, they might have been OK.

- I have also heard tell of pattern ones, but have been told they are not vey good, plus I don't know exactly where to get them from.

- I plan to weld repair mine, they need it.....

cheers

at a 1/4 cost, my principles would be in the bin!! shallow i know but ive got petrol to pay for !!

id appreciate any directions towards finding them

ive been told i should be able to just get the panel repaired, the only damage is on the drivers side front wing  below the lowest black plastic trim between the wheel and the door

-I'd go for a repair unless they are really rotten (and you  might they are once you take them off).

-I was offered the fibre glass ones by Fritz's bits in the west country.

cheers

Brucey might not have it immediately, but I do .

You can find it HERE

Enjoy.

BTW, the much-vaunted stainless steel exhaust system which "Sohlman" was raving about not so long ago has now fallen out of favour with, errm, "Sohlman". Apparently, he was turned off by a report from a CSL owner who stated that the heat generated from the (unlagged) headers managed to melt a few a components in the engine bay....

"Goldryder"
"Nigel"
"kbannon"
"Peter_H"
"Peter Fenwick"
"kevin"
"Floody"

can do. Oh, the damage to your reputation....

I saw this and thought of you...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31351&item=2483481737&rd=1

Drivers Side wing from a BMW 635. Small dent above rear trim that will need to be pulled out. Some surface rust on the inside which has been treated.  Bumper bracket has been cut and will need fixing.  However a very solid wing with no holes.
