Do people usually reply to these?, if my car passes the MOT and I can get my gearbox front bearing replaced, I'll be here ;)

Best of luck with the MOT !

Post was more for publicity, but it's nice when someone does reply!

Out of interest, where are you from then?

Weymouth in Dorset! :)

I'm restoring my M535i as it's been off the road for a few years, I've slowly got various things up together and I'm really hoping it's only likely to fail on one or two things if it doesn't pass.

It's also going to be resprayed in it's glorious original colour that is Alpina White, and all the rust patches will be removed, it has a few :(

It has a full electric full leather interior too, it's the last year of manufacture (1988) and has a few revisions to my spare M535i (1986), It's going to be a very desireable car I think when it's 100%.

Oh, you only asked where I was from

Hi Jon

I live in West Dorset and work in sunny Dorchester.

My current BMW stable consists of:
1985 E24 M635 CSi - Diamond Black
1995 E34 525i Sport - Daytona Violet
1998 E36 328i Convertible - Madeira Violet

Did you go to Athelhampton? There was a very nice low mileage white E28 M535i there.

I can't make the Wessex Concours, but I am going Beaulieu on 18th July and hopefully Gaydon.

I look forward to seeing one of your E28s sometime!

Hi!, I see you have a 635Csi. This is the same engine as mine but with throttle bodies isn't it?

I would really like to convert from my induction manifold.. How possible would you think that could be?

As I say really, if my car is a pass I could make both these events :)

Hi Jon

I'm no expert, but I thought the M5/M6 engine was completely different to the 535/635 one as it's DOHC and 4 valves per cylinder.
