Having a retentive moment the other day I was studying the specs of the M52 range and it appears the only mechanical changes to go to 2.8l is crank and pistons. maybe rods too, but I doubt it.

Opinions on 2.5 versus 2.8 and thoughts on the above would be appreciated!

Haven't drove the 325 but every one says the 328 is great for low down torque.

I would guess at the bottom end being different and the rest the same.

Going from 325 to 328 will give an increase of about 10% in power. Depends if its worth it.

Yeah the 325 might be more revvy than the 328 as the 328 will probably be a longer stroke for more torque.

The 2.8 had an alloy block, instead of the cast iron one in the M50.  It has a different (more restrictive) intake manifold, and of course a completely different management system !

wotcher.

me & dave are both running M52's, dave has done his manifold and i am doing mine next weekend- bye bye restriction!

I have been told that the B25 in the 323 has a map which will 'learn' and can eclipse the mapped fuelling addresses within the B28 system so hopefully I can leave the reprogramming to after we have seen Dr Schrick.....
