Lee,

I had a look at a B6S before I bought my Evo2. It was a good drive but the overall condition wasn't as good as ehat I wanted.

I saw this at MCP Motorsport who import quite a few Alpinas from Europe. Give Martin a ring and he may be able to source you one.

Go to www.mcp-motorsport.com for contact details.

As an aside, as an insider, what are your opinions on the S14 timing chain debate i.e. does it stretch and must it be changed at 100k miles?

Good luck

Kevin

Magic, by sheer coincindence I just took my M3's diff to an ex BMW mechanic to rebuild for me today and what is sitting in his shop, the Red B6 I keep seeing. He said the owner is looking to sell as well!

I had a good look over it and its seen better days, a few rust spots and a not very good respray which has faded badly, cloth Alpine interior looks OK though.
The mechanic told me its history (used to be owned by a well known racing team boss but the current owner hasn't kept it up to scratch)

He has promised to get the owner to contact me about it in the next couple of weeks or if you are desperate top know more, PM me and I will pass on the mechanics name and number.

so you have 2 e30 m3's, an e34 m5 touring, a batmobile csl, you work for ///m power and are currently involved in a project for the m7

forgive me for been sceptical but if you were me you would be too - and I am very sceptical

you refer to the evo 2 as a sport evo 2. the onle sport evo is the evo III

Do I smell BS in the air? The Sport Evo didn't come with any Alcantara. You referred to the sport evo one and two. I hope you didn't 'create' my car.

He probably means the steering wheels and gear lever... Alcantara or suede look the same...
