Perhaps he has gone to the knackers yard, Niggles....

You never know with Ivanahorsecalledrory....he may have absconded or gone awol forever....lost in the mire of horse manure in the river near Radlett..never to be seen again....just the lonely cloppety-clop of Rory's hooves on quiet, misty nights under the full moon....

Highland Games

First set up by clan chiefs keen to bring more tourism into their areas, the Highland Games have flourished beyond all expectations.  The first Games grew up around those activities traditionally enjoyed by crofters, to while away the long winter evenings - piping, tug'o'war, pillow fights......

But some of these sports have been superseded in recent years by more contemporary pursuits, such as...

Spotting the Beer Tent and Trying to Find Somewhere to Park the Car.

Music and dance are central to these sporting gatherings and competition can be ferocious among the teams assembled for All-in Formation Dancing, while the festive spirit is bravely maintained by relays of pipers ( an'a'an'a) from the Grimond School of Piping, who play lamentable pieces late into the long, light nights...

One for Rhys....

As well as waymarked forest trails, Scotland now has several long distance footpaths.  The first of these to be opened was the West Highland Way, pioneered by a motorist in 1980 who set off south from Ben Nevis in search of a phone box. The West Highland Way ends just outside Glasgow.

sure nearly 40 years ago they flew to the moon, yet it still takes 3 to 5 days to clear a cheque.

Furthermore, when banking online, my bank removes the money from my a/c immediatley when I pay a bill. It doesn't reach the payee for 3 to 5 days also!

Go figure, and banks are moaning they aren't making any money, i wonder where all the interest goes on the money they have in limbo between accounts.

Any way, last post from me tonight, see you later folks.
