Ok guys, whilst we are waiting for the official forum to be created, lets start a good service list. Roughly on the basis of Duncans discount list. Any nasty comments or complaints WILL be deleted Good work or service normally goes unnoticed, and we see plenty of complaints, so lets list the ones that please us. |

I'll start it off with Rydales BMW, a main dealer, obviously. I have never had any dealings with these people, but my little bruv has just bought a mini from them, it has a slight problem, so they have found him another mini with dual controls ( he's a driving instuctor ) to lend him. That has to be good service by anyones standards. |

I've had lots of help from Snows BMW and Bellevue Ford over here on the Izzle of Widget...both garages looked after my car when she was with previous owner and both have helped me with queries...Bellevue Ford even let me have the missing dashboard plexiglass that had been ordered for her 2 yrs ago but never collected.

Milcars (when they were around) Watford and Temple Fortune Stephen James - pretty good service team there, Sytner City/Stratford - good servicing, a terrific bodyshop, and (if you find the right guy) a parts department willing to deal. A shame that despite being in Zone 3 they charge the same as inner London dealers - well over 100 an hour. Fawdington Newcastle and Sytner Leicester - both courteous and professional. Especially as their labour rates are considerably lower! Hope this helps... Edited as stated in original post

I regulary use Trainers in Swansea for my servicing, and have always had a good service, the only things they reported on last time was a fogged up foglamp and small coolant leak, so no attempts to make me spend more money. Car always comes back cleaned and vac'd too! They're parts guys are great to deal with too, always got time for you no matter what BM you drive. |

Rydale Central in Birmingham has a good spares department. They are helpful and don't mind spending time with the customer to ensure ordering the correct item. Rydale Sutton Coldfield has a different approach to spares and you have difficulty finding anyone to talk to who is interested in what you want to order. In my opinion Rydale Sutton is a bit more upper class and get caught out by owners with grubby hands putting dirty parts down on their service desk !! |

I would like to second that comment. Teesside Autotech look after my car and are always helpful, whether they are doing the work themselves or just advising me. |

If we are talking about main dealers for service then Lind of Norwich servicing and parts departments are very helpful and offer a great care orientated service. Prices have been surprisingly good for what you are getting. regarding local garages and specialists then i would recommend bells marsh road garage in gorleston (near gt yarmouth) as a very competent garage who between the father and son team know a hell of a lot about cars and more so about performance ones. Very competitively priced for the area and even throw in little jobs free (on different occasions). Regarding service provided for parts bought from non main dealers then Motormec has to get a big mention as they are mad about BMW's and offer a good quick and reliable service for anything they cover and also willing to put themselves out to find out more information about parts they dont currently offer. I have got to recommend Damon Hill Warwick, took my M3 in for an engine noise, well I knew it was the dreaded Vanos, they put a claim into BMW and got 100% parts paid for, very helpful, telephoned me when they said they would. Car was returned completely valeted 10 out of 10 Although it's an 80 mile round trip I will without doubt be using them again. |
