Topic: "Fast Car Full On" Edinburgh, 22-23/05/04 Posted: 26-April-2004 at 00:05 |
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if there's going to be a BMW CC presence at this car show?

Hi Stephen,
When we looked into this it looked like we'd have to leave cars in overnight which made it a no go-er
Were you planning on going?

I'm tempted, a couple of pals are meeting up with their Ford Blandeo Enthusiast Group and, as you can imagine, me turning up with a blue and white propellor to their little soiree would mix as well as vampires and garlic... it was bad enough when I took my old mans cherished Ford Sierra XR4i (which brought a few of them down a peg or two), but an E46 323Ci would really set the cat amongst the pigeons
I guess I would have liked to "do my own thing" amongst like minded BMW lovers instead of tagging along with the "SMEGgers" (scottish mondeo enthusiasts group) - apt name eh?

Stephen, there may well be a few BMW folk going along... but from your original question I thought you were asking if we were planning on having a stand...

Aye..
It's a multi-club consortium so there's no split loyalities as various clubs have joined up... BMW members are a bit lacking though so get in boyz..
Opens up lots of joint track days etc and may help us run our own events. There should be a few of them at the Falkirk Cruise tonight at the Falkirk Wheel..

its allowed a little bit of hidden rust being 21 years old, not many cars of any make can survive the tinworm forever, and the 4i never ran on the rollers as you both know, you wouldn't ask an old man to run a marathon would you?
as regards a public forum.... this is a car club forum primarily for members as well as owners and enthusiasts of a marque, unless a person fits into either category then i wouldn't expect them to have any interest in what goes on here. i used to have a ford mondeo a few years ago, but i because i don't have one now i don't feel the inclination to look at mondeo forums

were names, cars and locations mentioned? i think not - how can that be construed as personal?
it's like horoscopes - if the cap fits, someone will wear it
