I've seen these "silver" bulbs in use, and I have to say that I think the brightness of these is noticeably reduced, particularly in bright sunlight. There is no way I'm going to shell out for something that could compromise safety. Instead, I will continue with my long-standing project to create clusters of extreme-brightness LEDs.... Well, that's my 1983 car you've been looking at! The orange centres are a reflection caused by the amber bulbs which you have to install in order to pass the MoT... Edited by Horsetan |

...rather like this one? The lenses come from Sweden, and the manufacturer is the only one catering for the E24 in this respect. They are about 60 Euros for a pair, plus 20 Euros postage. However, the manufacturer is out of stock at the moment, with no indication as to when there may be another production run. However, if you want a drool over something which you can't have at the moment, you can visit Mats Kinnby's Styling Shop Interestingly, Mats says he is developing clear rear lenses for the E24 too....
