I've seen these "silver" bulbs in use, and I have to say that I think the brightness of these is noticeably reduced, particularly in bright sunlight. There is no way I'm going to shell out for something that could compromise safety.

Ivan, could you use the latest bulbs that flash orange but are silver so you don't get the orange centre effect. I did have a link but have lost it after I decided to stay with the orange lenses on mine.

Well, that's my 1983 car you've been looking at! The orange centres are a reflection caused by the amber bulbs which you have to install in order to pass the MoT...

The lenses come from Sweden, and the manufacturer is the only one catering for the E24 in this respect. They are about 60 Euros for a pair, plus 20 Euros postage. However, the manufacturer is out of stock at the moment, with no indication as to when there may be another production run.

However, if you want a drool over something which you can't have at the moment, you can visit Mats Kinnby's Styling Shop

Interestingly, Mats says he is developing clear rear lenses for the E24 too....
