Recently I had 2 unplug my onboard computer...when i came to re-connecting it, the outside temperature seemed to be about 4 or 5 degrees warmer than before i unplugged it. Now i'm not being a dinlow, and i do know that the temperature does moderatlely rise about this time of year anyway...but I only had it unplugged for 10 minutes, and just before i unplugged it I flicked the ignition on and it "pinged" at me and said it was 2.5 degrees. But when I plugged it back in and turned the key, it now read 6.5 degrees. Now it was absolutely bl**dy freezing, so 2.5 was probably more like the kinda figure u should expect. But since then it's been waaaaayyyyyy out. Is there any way to calibrate this, and if not any tricks or tips? I've already tried reseting it a few times but it comes back the same everytime, and it is definitely wrong...

Mine will read about 4 degrees more if the car is stationary after a drive as the heat from the engine eventually soaks to the sensor, If I drive it, then it will go back down once the car moving forward cools the sensor.
