would any of you be interested in joining us @ our monthly rs owners club meet in sussex ?

its held at a pub called "THE WORLDS END" which is between worthing and arundel .

the pub itself serves great food and a nice selection of beverages !

we meet at 2 o,clock on the 1st sunday of every month and we normally have between 15 - 20 members turn up .

now i know theres allways been a bit of rivalry/banter between  the two of us but i think it would be great to bury the hatchet and create a good afternoon out for all of us !, ESPECIALLY as at least 3 of the rs owners are bmw owners aswell .

you never know ! we might even be able to create our own south east car club and get ourselves a few combined trackdays / meets ?????

 what are your thoughts ??

Well remember not everyone in the club uses the web actually it's a small percentage. I am currently working on a concept of organising a sharkfest. Currently looking at good locations around the south. Any ideas. Whereever it is it has to be drivable to Hampton Court Palace as this is where i want to finish up.

And don't give up

I've been thinking about there, as used to cycle around there as a boy and i grew up in Guildford. I am just struggling to rack my brains to find a venue that has both food and drink and a good sized car park for say 50+ cars.

I'm thinking big

Cue sepia-toned memories, strains of Dvorak's "New World Symphony", aroma of freshly-baked Hovis, etc...

Devils Dyke is sposed to be pretty good for meetings with large numbers of cars...or the Churchillian Pub overlooking Portsmouth...both venues are very popular with the Skyline fraternity.

It's inbetween guildford and Dorking at the top of a very steep hill. There is a large car park and panoramic views in all directions. Just to give you an idea of the hill i hit 46mph going down it on my push bike whilst overtaking a porsche 911 turbo. My mate the following week got clocked by the police doing 45mph when going into the 40 zone and the police pulled him over. One of the best gags ever to be pulled for speeding on a push bike and beat my porsche overtaking manover.

Daddy cool

Worlds End sounds good to me. Is there a meet on the 2nd may?

Is the pub north side of the A27 on the old road? just after the goring/angmering/ long furlong junction?

I was thinking about starting from May as April 18th is tomorow and nobody knows about it as such. I have been in touch with the club and was going to confirm a number of dates with them before comiting some dates so to speak. Howard will comit the dates to press as soon as i have them available.

My concept would be one meet per month in a different location each time. I went up to Newlands today and i recken we could get 300 cars in the car park, and there are 3 watering holes within 300 metres. I don't know the devils dyke location, but  am sure it is eqivercle. Daddy cools location in Sussex sounds great, and i have spoken with Munich Legends about using the pub next door and that will probable be a goer to so i recken that covers us for 4 meet and greets. Then it's just a case of organising a sharkfest at the end of the summer and it's a done deal.

James
