can any one tell me how to remove the rear seat on my e36 m3 , the part you sit on just pulls up , but its the back rest i can't get out , on the e30 there is a bolt each side you undo and lift the backreat up and out , i've taken the trim off each side , but no bolts , can any one shed some light on this .

Grant,

dunno if it is the same as the Coupe?? but on mine all you do is pull the lever on the top of the seat and then the seat comes down.

p.s. Did you manage to sort your brake prob?? was it the switch?

can't see a lever on mine , where is it on yours ??.,
soted the brake lights it was the switch ..

Grant,

If you look on the top of the seat, follow up to the top of the seat belt.....there is like a square plastic bit.....it doesnt really look like it does much but if you reach into the recessed handle, press it down and pull forward the seat should release.

Glad my advice on the switch was good

Grant, you comin to the pub meet in May?? its the pub we met at before we went off to Aylesbury??
