All being well I am about to purchase one, if not a pair, of 635 CSi's.

Both are in good shape for their ages, a 1980 with receipts for £4k for bodywork restoration, fsh, 265000 miles, silver with full chrome trim and blue leather for £450.....and a 1982 with aftermarket BMW alloys, 127000 miles, black chrome trim in gunmetal with russet leather, new MOT and fsh for £1450.

The 1980 has 2 very small, 2p piece size, surface bubbles on the leading edge of the bonnet.  Body wise both cars are very clean.  Mechanically they are both sound, no smoke, good oil pressures on both, steering very stable and decent brakes, both newly rebooted all round.

I can have both for £1500 but finances may only stretch to the 1980 one only.

Any guidance as to whether I should go for one or other or both of these cars please?

If you cant' get both, which would be a pity, I would think the 82 car with fsh would be the better bet.

This is the same question as in the coupe forum, as you have James answer there, I'll lock this one.

Could you please try to avoid double posting.

Best Wishes

Nigel
