After much searching for the holy grail of wheels (Alpina 16" rims with the black centre) for my e24 i have finally aquired some from e-bay.

I Love ebay.

4 wheels that have just been refurbed and powder coated with two brand new tyres and two part worns for Ł500 including postage.

I think thats a Bargain.

Can't really afford them, but could not let them go.

very very happy.

Just thought i'd let you all know.

Congratulations....it's a dangerous thing is eBay. Once you have seen it.... you end up needing it.

Well they are on the credit card so i have a month to worry about paying for them.

ebay is so addictive, i think i should be banned. I just buy stuff and have not sold anything.

Ross, the shopping conundrum has already come up

I have recently got the ebay addiction.
Bigest pain though is trying to filter the decent stuff from all the ETK cds & keyrings, etc.

but not to sure how safe it is

what happens if what you have brought is not what you expected it to be

what come backs do you have

If it is as descibed, not many Mike.

I made a mistake once with a radio that wouldnt interface with my wifes car, mk 1 to mk 2 type of thing.

Best to do all the checking you can first, both with the seller, and possibly with the dealer for the type of car.

Having said that I've bought loads of stuff, all ok except the one I got wrong, I even bought my E34 from there, but I did go to see it first

Best Wishes

Nigel

As someone who both buys and sells on ebay, I think I can honestly say it is generally fantastic. However, there is always the occasional individual who tries to take advantage of other peoples good nature. Thankfully that does not happen very often.

Nigel, should get my E34 on Tuesday - from ebay...

I wonder does your credit card company cover stuff that was paid for but not delivered?
By and large though, if you are buying off someone who has a good feedback rating you should be fine.

I recently bought a BMW torch, as good as new. Pity it doesn't work in the E30. I also bought a set of alloys for the E30 which I don't really need now

You can use it in your E24, I'm sure...

Nah, I think it is for one of these new-fangled motors (maybe I should forget the E24 & get an E39!)

Killian

The white torch is the one you need for the E30. The black torch fits the likes of the E39 and E46 etc.

What type of wheels have you got as I was asked last week if I knew anyone selling E30 wheels and tyres.

Regads
