    Posted: 25-March-2004 at 21:32

Hi Dudes,

After the meet in Jan in Aylesbury, we decided that Wokingham meet point was a good venue for future meets

So we are looking at meeting at "The Plough" in Wokingham on Sunday 9th May @ 11am.

This way we get prime parking and can gas for an hour or so and talk motors then get some pub nosh etc....

If it gets to crowded then we can convoy up the the Coppid Beech hotel(bout a mile away) as they have a massive carpark.....and seem to hold quite a few car meets.

Let me know if you can make it so I can get some numbers and pop in and see the landlord to make sure its kool & the gang

Heres the Map of where it will be

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=482500&Y=170000&scale=50000&coordsys=gb

The pub is on the corner of Plough lane and London Road....(A329) leading into Wokingham

Cheers AL

Attendees:-

MONO, Kevin, Chris M, Clive, Derek, BoybimmerM3, Rustywheelarch, Stoneisland M3, Grantw

Al...I saw Clive new toy on Tuesday when I had a garage clearance and exchanged some money for my old suspension to help him get the ride height back to standard.

It's a E30 M3 Ravaglia the UK version of my Cecotto. It would be rare enough as a Ravaglia (1 of 25) but it might (might) be the only one converted by Bird's to RHD. They are doing some investigations into it.

I would be very surprised if it is ready for this meet based on what he wants to do to it to get it up to his standards. I think he wants to better Derek's

Hi

Yes Clive's car is an original Ravaglia  converted to right hand drive by Birds in Uxbridge I helped find it for him after a conversation a few weeks ago when they changed my diff , gearbox oil ,brake fluid and few other bits.

Think its in the bodyshop now for a full respray.

Chris

That's great news. I'm pleased for Clive that it is an original, super rare. When I spoke with him last he was trying to find out if it was converted before being sold or was LHD for a while and then swapped over. Have you heard more?

Dudes,

I think it was a UK car....the conversion was done by Birds in Uxbridge When new I think but I might be wrong.

I saw Clive the other night when I was filling up with Optimax, he had got rid of the scorpion and had raised it up to the normal height.

It is going into Bodytone for a full respray soon as well. Should be a top motor when they have finished with it

It was replaced with a genuine BMW exhaust..... I think Clive is trying to make it like it came out the showroom..... I saw him putting some nice crossdrilled brakes on it to

Hi

I thought he was going with Supersprint I have one of these with the exception of the rear box and they were impressed with the build and fit. Wouldnt be surprised if he went for an original in the end though.

Al, I agree we should get more interest. I know Clive and Derek will join us but there must be a lot more people in the area. The only thing I can think is that everybody is heading down to Hestercombe, which is fine but it would be good to know so the Pub meet date can be adjusted accordingly.
