Sorry for lack of reply - hectic at work!
How does either 15th or 22nd April grab people? I'd suggest Wheel at Worfield as there are some pretty good driving roads close by. Is 7pm too early for people?
Cheers

Ah! I've heard of Wolverhampton, isn't it near Dudley? And there's a brewery there?

Is rolling road at Aldon? If not then where? I'll be instlalling Alpha-N shortly so a "cheap" experience at a local 'road would be good. Put me down for a slot. The only questionmark is if I've not got engine back in & running!
The Wheel is in a village called Worfield between Wolverhampton & Bridgnorth and is a mecca for bikers on Wednesdays. It's probably a little too far from Cheltenham for most (although my wife commuted from Wolves to Cheltenham for almost 12 months)

hiya everone, ive organised a rolling road day in cradley heath west mids for the 4th april. tis mainly an e30 day but all bmws welcome, spaces are limited but its wotrh a try. £15 per car & id need to know asap. there are about 20-25 of us going so far so even if u dont want to put your car through its paces it will be worth the day out to see others doing so & chatting to other bmw owners etc. any questions just ask.

I agree - the wheel is a great meeting place due to the size of the car park, the excellent music and their real nice to bike / car enthusiasts.
Massive beer garden too.
Like you say - wednesdays not a good idea due to 50 billion bikes (overstatement), but really, there are loads of rozzers around on a wed.
Piers - are you going to sort out a meet then. I reckon monthly would be better. 8 weeks is a long time IMHO.

Great to hear there's a reasonable level of interest.
Maybe the Weston Park do would be a good first opportunity for a meet. I guess an alternative would be to suggest a pub (and maybe even drive route in your area) and we could start things off as a bi-monthly as suggested.
Certainly Wheel at Worfield would be OK in my area (but not on a Wednesday).
Suggested venues to North, South, East & West of Bham should allow a meet for some of us most months.
Cheers

Would like to see a Meet up in next 3-4 weeks?in these general areas. What about a meet at the Weston Park BMW event , on 11th April.Something for everyone, can be family or not, lots of space, activities to see.Good opportunity to plan meets for the future.Time now perhaps for a "North Central" similar to Stone-Islands "South central"where you dont have to drive miles to an event.Follow with East & West Central. All within the Central Region, go to any or all meetings, to suit time and distance.Something similar for Wales.Time to decide, how often-monthly / bimonthly ??.

Piers,
I live in Oldbury near junction 2 of the M5 - I regularly go to the Wheel at Worfield on the motorbike in the summer. I assume that is somehwere near where you live.
I drive a 95 E36 328i SE, so I won't be able to keep up with you 'M' boys - I do have Mtech suspension kit though so I might fit in.
Up for a few beers and chat.

Maybe I can find this elsewhere.. but whereabouts are most of central region members distributed?
I live on outskirts of Wolverhampton (Shropshire side) and work in Redditch. Currently replacing the engine in '88 M3 witha recently rebuilt '91 motor.
Might be able to swap advice or go for drive/drink with members in vicinity?
Cheers
