Please can anyone confirm to me the original tyres fitted to a 1999 E36 M3 Evo Convertable. I believe it was Mitchlin Pilot Sport as that is what I have un-used in the boot. But the spare wheel is the same size as the front so I recon that the fronts are Mitchlin Pilot Sports but I am not sure what Mitchlin tyres were used on the rear??? Any help would be great as I would like to put the original tyres back on. Oh and by the way if you know were I can get them cheaper from that will be a bonus as I need 4.

Tristan,
Can't help you with the original question but I've been looking for tyres recently and the cheapest place I found (they was recommened to be by Dave on this forum) were My Tyres. I ordered mine yesterday so I'll let you know when I get them. Brett |

Tristan, Pilot Sports all round, they are not the cheapest, but probably best all round tyre, be careful when ordering tyres on-line maybe cheaper than local man but when you add-on fitting , valves and balancing after you get them the price soon goes up, the price you get from local dealer normally includes all this, if not, haggle.

Michlin have now brought out a new improved Pilot Sport with asymetric tread. Don't look as good as the old ones, but they are supposed to be the puppies privates. Just replace the rears - will let you know ...

The original wheels sizes were Front 7 X 17 Rear 7 X 17 or optional rears 8 X 17 but the spare should be 7 X 17 as the wider wheel shoul not be fitted to the front. Tyres were Michlin Pilot Sport
