The issue of insurance is covered in this month's Circuit Driver.
The ATDO (Association of Track Day Organisers) have come up with a solution with the insurance broker Alexander Forbes and the MSA. They did this because insurance premiums were going up and threatening to make all track days unviable. The real killer for track day organisers seems to be public liability insurance, but the new insurance package from the ATDO has this covered.
Oh yes......and no where does is say that under the new system, track day participants must not use sticky tyres.[/QUOTE]

Doc..
That's the insurance package I have in place for Croft, hence the £10 increase in the price. It gives you the punter some liability cover so that I the organiser don't have to pay for your errors! (which I never have.. we have always kept it clean)

Farcical scenario. Either you can or you can't, come on you guys who run the club, make a decision and stand by it (and enforce it), whether your members agree or not, all people want to know is where they stand.

At present the situation is muddier than a very muddy thing........

John, Thanks for the info.

I have completed the form. Perfect timing as Rockingham has left me wanting more. Cadwell seems such a long wait. Patience is a virtue....hmmm.

On the topic of sticky tyres, would you recommend them for the Ring or would I, being inexperienced, be better with regular tyres?
