628 swimming pool

   Hi,
My 628CSI has developed a nice puddle in the drivers footwell. I've had the winscreen re-sealed and have poured lots of water over the car trying to find the leek to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause??

	Did you taste the water? Has it got a sweet taste and the smell of antifreeze? If so your heater matrix is gone. Normally not so of an E24 as an E23 problem. If not check your drains from your sunroof. Por some backing powder down the drains this will free them. You can also use ordinary household chemical pipe cleaner stuff. Which you would normally use on a blocked sink.

	I had just the same problem. Finally track it down to the main wiring loom seal as it goes though bulkhead. Water would leak in and drip via brake pedle after coming from air grill on drivers side bonnet area. Hope this helps.

	Same prob also in an 81 635, did windscreen and ok now.,.....water took the ECU out though ;-( I have the same prob on the back screen now! Good luck
