You did take the print out? But a few posts up you say you don't have one...hang on this story is getting a little sketchy, write it out first then post to make sure you have it all in order, i'd suggest a little notepad of your daily ideas.

Actually we all had our suspicions already on the fuel you used, but now you've confirmed it, well done that man.

are you refering to the 2.7 or the 3.2 ?

as for the fuel, it is not wrong or improper to use high octane fuel on the rolling road to avoid detonation is it ?

The 3.2 printout, which is the one we have been talking about for the past couple of pages!

Well it's wrong to not tell anybody you're using it but it's not wrong to use it, but when everybody else was running pump fuel it's not comparative is it.

i added 1 litre of 102 ron fueling which in a half tank will reduce the chance of detonation yet only give you the equivelent of 1/2hp on a 200hp engine.

Peter,

It was a Ghibli GT II 6 speed & yes your right deep deep pockets ,beleive it or not 17500 pounds of blood sweat & lots & lots of tears(mainly the wife's) went into that car i loved it & still do but it had to go or move into a tent....hang on it'll soon be summer ....fresh do the kids a world of good...Oh well .

Oh I know these GtR's are incredible value for the money Pete but Honestly its more than that when you own one ,you know your not going to bump into one at the next corner ,you just love looking at the 18crt gold Laselle clock(daft as it looks) & the really lovely thing is the sound  ,if you could bottle it you be on a winner for sure!

Its just an expereience Peter that should be on the National Health me Old mate

I've just dug out the issue with the guide in. Well Evo magazine certainly like them, although those running costs.... £2500 - 3000 for a timming chain change which needs doing every 48K. £2300 for an exhaust system, £500 for each damper. The list of potential problems makes worrying reading as well.

However 330bhp from a 2 litre V6 sounds quite nice and it is quite a good looking car, very muscular looking. The kind of car I'd like to drive but not own I think, unless my numbers come up at the week end Big Smile

Entering an age of Austerity and now driving a Focus Diesel.
