Hi, my first post on here. I've owned the car for about a month, and am loving every mile. I've got my head around nearly everything, but even with the Owners Handbook in my lap, I can't find a way of storing a new radio station.
It's got a business radio. I am only concerned with the FM range. Having selected FM, I have three options. <All stations> <Manual frequency selection> and <Memorised stations> Of these, only <All stations> seems to be of any use. It's claimed in the manual that this shows all the stations that can be received and as it offers me the 4 BBC stations, Classic FM, 3 counties and Heart it's working fine, those are the 7 stations my previous cars have found ok. Now, all i want to do is add my MP3 FM transmitter to that list, so I can use the steering wheel button to flick through 7 radio stations and then my own selection. If I select <Manual frequency selection> I can find the transmitter and it plays fine, but when I save it, it only allows me to use the <Memorised Stations> option. However <Memorised Stations is full of historic junk from previous owners around the country, which of course produce static. (kiss FM, capital etc) but it has 12 memory locations, so the only way i can make it usable is to manually load the 7 local stations and my transmitter in the first 8, and then repeat some of them in the last 4. Which seems a bit of a faff. When I click on the SET option, the extra menu comes up, offering TP, Save, Tone, Scan - as shown in the manual, but there is also a tick box for Favorites. that seems to make no difference to anything, and isn't mentioned in the manual at all. Actually I am not convinced the guys writing the manual had many meetings with the guys making the radio. So to summarise (sorry it got long winded) All I want is to add my transmitter to <All stations>. please! Thanks for your help. |
