Hi,
A while since I've posted, can anyone help me with wheel repairs? I have a front offside with a buckle, and want all four refinished. Anyone had any experience of companies who can repair the buckle. Have seen and spoken to Ace Wheels in Carnwath he seems pretty confident he can sort out. Any help would be greatly appreciated It's a 123d M sport I drive and the buckled wheel is driving me nuts. |

Be very wary of repairing alloy wheels which have buckled. Minor chips and scuffs to alloys then no problem getting them sorted. BMW themselves do alloy repair. £50 + VAT per wheel.
To repair an alloy wheel which has been buckled involves heating it up then hitting it with a hammer. Prove that the wheel will not crack when it is heated.
When I turned one of my alloys into a square on a pothole, I argued to the Council that you cannot be 100% sure that the wheel has not been cracked from the impact that the caused the buckle and will not be cracked in the heating process. The Council paid out over 90% of the costs to me. Which was a new alloy, new tyre and full four wheel alignment.
