For sale is my BMW M5 in Le Mans blue with the most desirable interior option of black on black leather. First registered in March 2002 at Sytner, this car's body is in immaculate condition with no stone chips and with the leather also looking like new. Paintwork is crisp and only ever hand washed and polished using Meguiars materials.

I've only used this as a weekend treat to myself and maintained the car regardless of cost.

I'm a BMW enthusiast and a long time member of the BMW car club. I've owned many M cars and this one to date is by far the most impressive as far as features and performance is concerned.

  • March 2002 E39 M5 in Le Mans blue (02 plate)

  • Full black on black leather interior

  • Facelift model (upgraded Vanos system, lights and 16:9 wide-screen)

  • 89k miles

  • Full BMW main dealer service history

  • Hpi clear

  • MOT and Taxed till June 2012

  • Original service book, manuals and books included.

This was a £60k car when new and as you would expect came pretty much loaded with features including:

  • Self levelling Xenon headlights with angel eyes.

  • DSC (switchable traction control)

  • Multifunction leather sports steering wheel.

  • Parking sensors (front and rear)

  • Tyre pressure monitoring system.

  • Electric heated auto dimming folding mirrors.

  • Electric heated sports seats with driver memory function.

  • 10 speaker Hi-Fi system, DSP, with six disc changer.

In addition to the above the car has been spec'd with over £2.5k of extras including:

  • Sat nav / TV (wide-screen)

  • Rear privacy glass.

  • Electric tilt/slide glass sunroof update

  • Rear window blind

I've fitted a Miltek stainless steel exhaust system. This includes the sports cats that let the engine breath easier and larger rear tips that fill up the rear diffuser. At over £2k this is an impressive piece of kit. It's not intrusive at low revs when driving around town but under load that V8 sound can really be heard which the standard exhaust was criticised for. This is by far better than a straight through piece of pipe which would be booming and hinder performance. I have the original system hanging up in my garage and if you prefer I can get this put back on.

It goes without saying that I always run my cars on super unleaded and it has not used any oil since the day I got it. This is a regrettable sale but the time has come to think sensibly and sell my two cars and have one that is an all rounder for work and weekend.

Private plate in the pictures is not included with the sale and has been removed; the car now sits on the original 02 plate.

Sorry, but please no test pilots, agencies or P/X.

£9500

Alan.
