Hi Guys,
enjoying my 525tds but recently i have been suffering with a strange fault!
on start up occasionally my fan belt is slack and the tensioner (which is a funny piston type thing) has moved. A quick poke with a screwdriver and it pings back into place!! and then all is well for a while
does anyone have any ideas what this fault is?
also, previously i posted a fault about a humming noise from the rear drivers wheel and my abs light came on. strangely the hum has stopped, the abs light is off untill i pull away then a few seconds and its on? again any ideas guys
many thanks for any feedback!

Sounds like you need a new fan belt tensioner.  It appears to be seizing up when stationary, if it's an original part then it may just be life expired and doens't sound like it is a serviceable part.

ABS could be a fault with the ABS ring or a fault in the bearing assembly causing a hum and vibration which is upsetting the ABS sensor.
