what diffs fit a 528i manual are they the same as an auto are estates the same as a salloon etc whats the best ratio 2 go for |

Autos and manuals have different diff ratios due to differing output speeds of the manual and autoboxes for the same road speed.
Quick look on realoem implies that there is a number of differrent ratios available depending on transmissions and options etc.
To avoid any nasties upsetting the ASC/ABS system you would need to get the correct ratio i.e. the one fitted from new. A BMW dealer with your chassis number would be able to tell you what ratio you need.
