here's my list:-

E23 735i ASE 1985 'C' reg. - c/no 7873349

62.11.1.394.270    SI Board (3 reds)

52.10.1.936.031    Drivers seat back cloth (7174 Pearl Beige).

52.10.1.936.012    Drivers seat squab cloth (7174 Pearl Beige).

52.10.1.935.172    Drivers seat squab foam.

36.11.1.118.282    Imperial 6½ J standard alloy (x 4 or 5)

36.11.1.118.772    Imperial X spoke alloy (x 4 0r 5)

72.60.1.887.363    Mud flaps front

72.60.1.912.361    Mud flaps rear

51.71.1.905.394    Engine undertray

??                        a/c push-button assy (pneumatic)

??                        Sports steering wheel.

??                        Battery.

??                        Mats.

- The car interior - as an alternative, a leather interior would be an
option (electric front seats).

- The wheels - as an alternative, low mileage metric tyres (metric alloys on
car at present).

- The car has an intermittent electrical starting problem especially when
hot. Overcome by shorting terminals with a screwdriver - then starts fine!
Sticking relay? Also, something is draining the battery. Car is in store at
present.

- Would be interested to know of any parts/accs. for the E23.

- Another option would be to find a really good condition E23 and use as a
donor if necessary.

Would also like any technical, sales, or review info on the E23.

Look forward to hearing from you - I am near Dover.

hI ETA

My SI has 3 reds but the car hasnt been used for a while so i couldnt be sure this item was still in good working order as i understand the batteries go off.

The interior is blue cloth so no help there

Has metric alloys - only one of which is describable as very good.

a/c push button assy pneumatic- YES

has a rear sun blind - not sure if this is standard or an option.

Which terminals are you shorting out on the starter circuit?. My car has  a new starter motor - it was the last thing i fitted before taking it off the road.

I'm near Gatwick

regards

Steve

Steve and AG,

Please describe and price the bits you are offering.

Steve, my 735 has a rear blind. Not sure if starting problem resolved yet as replacement battery (loaned) has started the car every time, but with the previous battery fault was only evident when car was hot. Not on the road at present so not able to say if cured.

ETA

I'm not a trader - just happen to have a car that i've owned and loved for 15 years that i temporarily took off the road to refurbish. Now with it being stored outside it has deteriorated too much to be worthwhile so i'm thinking about breaking it.

The good alloy has a michelin metric tyre with about 4mm of tread, there is another alloy with some corrosion with a new colway remould metric tyre.

Price -if you wanted both £20 pair if you gave me one replacement to keep the car movable.

The a/c push button assembly - dunno - £10?

Or would you be interested in coming and towing the whole car away if the price was right?

Steve

I'm at the point of buying an e23 735iSE that has a spare set of Metric wheels and tyres in good condition, when I go later I'll come back to you with a description.

Thanks Nigel, not sure if required as Car in store. Might start restoration beginning with an Insp. 2 in a couple of months - depends if a good E23 comes up for sale.
