that makes 2 talking guff then, of course the e46 m3 will be a classic. not tomorrow but one day...as will all m cars. bmw built the e46 m3 to cater for the market not a homoligation number so they could race the e30. the mk1 escort was built in their millions and a four door 1100L is considered a classic and cost a fortune, never mind the sport models. and no not everyone has one now...you dont. they became more affordable recently, thats why your seeing more. |

Would be better to see them going for it round a track.
1M only comes in 6 speed manual, sweet. Thats the way it should be. OK gear change will never be as fast as the 'auto' but an M car is all about the driving and therefore the changing of gears surely. When I bought an E36 M3 in Estoril blue I took my E30 M3 and when I passed a group of young guys at the side of the road nobody noticed the E36 as they were all pointing at the E30. Guess same with the E46, lots of them around. My gran uses her E46 M3 for the bingo with her pals, she wanted something with some zip for when they're late. Alan. |

I wonder who paid this guy to come out with such guff. I know this'll be unpopular but it was pointed out to me that since the introduction of the e36 M3, production figures were huge (unless a rare limited model) and as for the e46, jings, everybody and his dug has got one of those. I'm not saying that they're not fantastic cars because they are, what I'm saying is that they'll never be a future classic. Just look at the attention Garys motor gets wherever we go and people breeze past a rainbow of e46s of every description to get to it. Are the boys in Bavaria reading this ? Too many M models now boys, give it a rest as the exclusivity just isn't there any more. |
