I have ditched the CD changer and installed an IPOD in it's place with Dension ICE LINK.
You get loads of other IPOD connection kits for less money than a CD will be. And the sound is MUCH better! Just find an old IPOD on Ebay with a broken screen. Depending on what BMW headunit you have you don't need to "see" the IPOD at all and can control it from the CD changer buttons. |

I think your Radio will NOT display any IPOD information. Mine doesn't. All you can do is to create 5 playlists and select them with the CD changer buttons. In each playlist you can skip forward or back to the next song. Make sure you buy a proper IPOD controller and not just an "AUX-in" kit which isn't going to control the IPOD from the radio. Do you have a multifunction steering wheel? this is what you want ICE LINK |
